Watermill Winery was established in 2005 with the vision to create some of the finest wines produced in the Walla Walla Valley. Long committed to sustainable farming practices, the Brown family farms over 1200 acres in the sourthern Walla Walla Valley, including four estate vineyards the produce the bulk of the winery's wines. The Browns began planting grapes on contract for such well established wineries as Seven Hills, Saviah Cellars, and North Star in the late 1990s, but it wasn’t until 2005 that the first vintage of Watermill was made. The winery is located in the historic Watermill Building and was one of the first wineries in Milton-Freewater, Oregon, located just 10 miles from downtown Walla Walla.
