We can't tell you the name of the producer online, because this wine doesn't officially exist, but let's say they are one of Oregon's most hallowed houses, based in Dundee. This is a private label (also one of the ugliest labels we've ever seen), made for a posh place in Portland. We stumbled upon it and bought a bunch.
This wine (with the regular label) is currently listed at wine.com for $77.99 a bottle! It's no secret what this wine is - it says it right on the back label - we just can't tell you online, because of politics.
It got 92 points and Cellar Selection from Wine Enthusiast, with a drinking window from 2018 to 2028, so it's still an infant. Here is Paul Gregutt's review: "Still tasting quite young, this potent Pinot brings a dark streak of smoke and a splash of citrus to its core black-fruit flavors. The tannins are stiff and carry a hint of stem. Give this some further bottle age, and drink it between 2018 and 2028.
